3/2/2013 0 Comments Storytime Sunday IX This is the very first Storytime Sunday for this year. I'm quite excited. This segment will begin a new adventure (with the same characters) since the last adventure was concluded. As usual everything will be improvised and unedited.
Let's continue our journey. . .

16/12/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday VIII The closer we get to Christmas, the busier life becomes. Yesterday (Saturday) I attended my partner's company hosted Christmas party. I was a little nervous since we didn't attend last year's party. I had been terribly sick and it just wasn't possible. So this year was our first time. I never expected anything like that. It was phenomenal! They really did their best to make sure their employees knew they were appreciated. A great venue and what was even more shocking were the presentations. The hosts were truly inventive and humourous. While handing out door prizes they decided to gather people on stage for a "contest". They all had to dance Gangnam Style to the music. It was hilarious! I never expected such a young and fresh approach from a 25 year old company. The door prizes themselves were expensive and generous. I was quite surprised. Not to mention the mouth watering food they provided but there's one detail that's more important than all the others. The true mark of an excellent company, an open bar. That''s right, free drinks. We really did have a great time.
Now for the more important update, Storytime Sunday. The more I write, the more I realize I don't have a plan for ending it. So it could go on for a very long time. Even if this particular storyline finishes, I will always have ideas for more. This time I will include the most immediate segment of the previous post as a reminder of where we left off. If you're looking for a full update, you can read Part VII. If you're adventurous and courageous of heart then I suggest we continue. . . 9/12/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday VII Hello readers! Today is another addition to Storytime Sunday. I'm looking forward to what might happen next! Feel free to read this post by itself or in conjunction with the others.
I know this is later than usual but with the holidays coming up there are only so many shopping days before Christmas. Luckily, I'm almost finished shopping. Without further ado, Part VII. . . 2/12/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday VI Good day to you all! Before I continue with Storytime Sunday I would like to give a little update. I realize I haven't posted in a couple of days and for that I apologize. I've been quite busy. Luckily I do have some pleasant news. Yesterday (Saturday, December 1) my partner and I bought our second Christmas tree together! I've never had a Christmas tree this early in all my life! It was quite exciting. We purchased it from a lot where most of the proceeds go to charity. It made buying a Christmas tree that much more special. So today (December 2), we will be decorating our tree! We might need to get a few more ornaments or lights but I think it will turn out great. So whenever I get the chance I'll post pictures! Then you can all enjoy my tree. I think I might even post some from last year.
Now onwards! We continue our story. If you are interested in reading the previous segments the links are located here. You can also find them as a subheading for the Blog. Either way you'll be sure to enjoy Part VI. 25/11/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday V Good afternoon, it is once again Storytime Sunday! Today I have written Part V. To be honest, this was one of the more difficult parts for me to write since I had to come up with it on the spot. For anyone just joining us I have a separate page with all the links (Storytime Sunday). If you like you can just read this segment, it will still be interesting.
On to Part V. . . 18/11/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday Part IV I can't believe it's the fourth Sunday since I've started Storytime Sunday. Time truly does fly by. If this is your first time reading Storytime Sunday, I have some links to assist you so you can catch up: Part I, Part II and Part III. If you don't feel like reading the previous segments that's okay. You'll still enjoy this part.
I know I kind of left things hanging last time so without further ado, here's Part IV. 11/11/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday III4/11/2012 0 Comments Storytime Sunday II It's once again Storytime Sunday! This is the second segment to a continuing story I will be writing. If you missed the first part you can read it here. For anyone wondering if I already have everything written out, well, you'd be wrong. I write everything impromptu. I have a vague idea where I want to go but the story itself is spontaneous. I think it's more organic that way and it adds a little excitement for me. I don't even know what's coming! So, for the second time in an unpredicted series, I give you Storytime Sunday. I hope you enjoy! The girl blinked as she reached back in her memory, desperate for answers. Could she have forgotten all of this? Perhaps this was her real life? Nothing made sense. She turned her thoughts on their side and re-examined the possibilities but she simply couldn't explain it. She stared off into the distance and felt a general uneasiness enter her body.
"You haven't touched your breakfast," inquired the mother look-alike. The girl turned to her in disbelief, this couldn't be possible. She must be dreaming. So she did what she always did to try and wake up from a dream, she would close her eyes tight. She closed them as tight as she could, scrunching her entire face. Everyone around the table paused and looked at her in curiosity then laughed. She opened her eyes slowly and could feel the cold sting of reality bite in to her through their mocking. In shame she dropped her head and pushed herself away from the table. In an instant she stood and ran away, feeling her face flush with a mixture of anger and sadness. This couldn't be happening, she wanted to convince herself. The rest of the table stared after her, shocked at her outburst. She never behaved like that. Arianna was not herself. The father and mother exchanged glances, their faces expressing concern and worry. Not a word passed between them as they communicated intuitively. Politely they excused themselves and went after their young, sweet daughter. |
